2022 UIL Region Concert and Sight-Reading Contests
On Wednesday, April 20th, the “Pride of the Tribe” Varsity Wind Ensemble competed at the UIL Region 16 Concert and Sight-Reading Contest. The band earned a first division superior rating in each of the Concert and Sight-Reading Contests. This is the 13th UIL Sweepstakes award for the band in the last 15 years.
The Varsity Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Adam Bodine, Lyndsey Dean, Landon Camp, and John Rogers, Performed “Prestissimo March”, “West Highlands Sojourn”, and “Our Kingsland Spring”. All three judges gave many high remarks about the maturity and quality of the musical performance by the band. The Wind Ensemble will be competing at the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival in Austin, on Saturday, May 7th.
