We are excited to announce Mrs. Emily Howard, as the Seminole Junior High Teacher of the Month!
Mrs. Howard, an eighth grade science teacher who also serves as the department head, was recognized and awarded a $500 grant by the Seminole Education Foundation at the SISD Board of Trustees meeting Monday night.
Mrs. Howard was praised for having a positive attitude to not only staff but students as well. She is never hesitant to take on new responsibilities and truly cares about the growth of her students. Her mindset is not only on academic growth, but shaping our students for future success. Mrs. Howard is committed to the kids, and was even referred to as demonstrating characteristics of a “marigold” for the district. Mrs. Howard connects well with students, great at engaging students, and holds them to a higher standard.
We could not be more pleased to have her part of our Tribe! Congratulations, Mrs. Howard!
The Seminole Education Foundation provides multiple educational grants to teachers of Seminole ISD throughout the entire school year.
